Societé d'exploitation du Palazzu NicrosiLieu-dit Vignale
A charming residence at the heart of a one-hectare estate, Palazzu Nicrosi offers two rooms and three suites in Rogliano, Cap Corse. An intimate, exclusive and private place, steeped in history. In a beautifully preserved setting, the building offers breath-taking views of the sea, the Finocchiarola islands and the Italian islands of Capraia and Elba.
Palazzu Nicrosi is the consecration of the dream of a young man from Cap Corse, Pierre-Marie Nicrosi, who in 1852, at the age of 15, set off to make his fortune in America.
After several weeks at sea, he spent years working hard in Montgomery, Alabama. Returning to Corsica in 1874 after living through the torments of the Civil War, he took on a challenge: to construct a building larger than that of his friend Mathieu Strenna, who had returned a few years earlier.
And the result of that challenge was Palazzu Nicrosi, a monument erected to demonstrate his success and to protect a large family. Palazzu Nicrosi has been the most beautiful of the legendary American residences for 150 years, a true symbol of Cap Corse.
